I have to admit that I didn't use to drink rosé champagne. But since I first drank this I am hooked. It is simply wonderful. I am not the only one rating this among the very best of its kind in the world. Robert Parker rated this wine 92 out of 100 points in his Wine Advocate and writes:"The NV Brut Le Rose is a terrific wine. This wonderfully nuanced, layered Champagne reveals incredible balance and finesse. It is that exceedingly rare rosé that has the balance and pedigree to offer great drinking both on its own and at the dinner table." The "FINE Champagne Magazine" tested 25 Rosé Champagnes and "Le Rosé" came in first place.. The tasting note: "Medium-deep orange-hued colour. Smooth, evolving, spicy and leathery nose, with tobacco and toast nuances. Tightly packed, smooth and silky. Charming texture and a lot of personality. Drink 2009/2013. 90/100 points." "Last night I tasted (drank!) the Rosé Chartogne. It was terrific. Salmon-tawny colour. Tiny, very strong bubbles. Lovely wild strawberry nose. Glorious full, fruity yet delicate taste. Heavenly weight in the mouth. Utterly more-ish. Excellent." Serena Sutcliffe MW. In a tasting by the english WINE Magazine in May 1999 of 70 rosé champagnes was this the biggest surprise. It landed in a shared second place with 90 points together with 1988 Dom Perignon Rosé only narrowly beaten by the 1988 Grand Siecle Alexandra Rosé from Laurent Perrier. Einer der großartigsten Roséchampagner den ich kenne, keine Übertreibung!
