Dr. Loosen & Paulson Rare Wine Dinner 7.10.17

THE WINEMAKER, THE EXPERT and THE CHEF

We are pleased to invite you to the Dr. Loosen estate in the Mosel Valley this autumn to enjoy the opening of

our wine tasting facility, which we have been building for the past two years. In our new location, which we

call the Belvedere, we will host a special evening of wine and food.

From student of archeology to world-renowned winemaker, Ernst Loosen is now the grand ambassador of

German Riesling. On this evening he will open his RÉSERVE cellar and present his most recent project, the

Dr. Loosen RÉSERVE wines, which started as an experimental trip into the past traditions of his grandfather

and great-grandfather. Now it is one of the most highly acclaimed parts of our portfolio. A friend has called the

RÉSERVE wines “The S-Class of dry Mosel Riesling.”

In the second part of the tasting we invite you to an enological journey back in time, with wines dating to the

turn of the last century. Our dear friend Jan Erik Paulson, who is the expert in rarities and a source of

great wines with astonishing aging potential, will present a selection of gems from his cellar.

Food-wise, Wolfgang Becker will delight us with his culinary arts. He has completed an apprenticeship in winemaking

and has also been awarded with two Michelin stars, which makes him uniquely qualified to pair these

special wines with food.
