I have been arranging wine tastings and dinners in the wonderful Hotel Kronenschlösschen in Rheingau for many years now and they have always been memorable events
We will this year start with a 6 course dinner on Friday evening presenting 30 wines from Château Pichon Comtesse de Lalande and Château Pichon Longueville Baron from 1864 to 1995.
Saturday luncheon will be a 3 course menue from Dr. Loosen commented by Erni Loosen.
On Saturday evening we will be enjoying a fabulous six course meal with three wines with each course.
Below are the planned flights (there could be some minor changes).
We are staring with 3 vintages of Château Haut Brion Blanc:
1961, 1984 & 2002
Three vintages Château Latour with a 7:
1927, 1937 & 1957.
1947 Pomerol:
Château La Conseillante
Château Latour-à-Pomerol
Château Pétrus
(all Négociant bottlings)
More vintages ending with a 7:
1967 Tyrells Vat 61 Dry Red
1977 Heitz Bella Oaks
1987 Castillo Ygay Gran Reserva Especial, Marques de Murrieta
1974 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignons:
Heitz Martha’s Vineyard
Freemark Abbey
Inglenook
We are finishing off with three old sweet wines:

It is a great pleasure to drink wine legends with the sensational food from Simon Stirnal.
