Our comment on
A good vintage which produced harmonious good wines with delicious, mature fruit. The 1962s have always unjustly been standing in the shadow of the great 1961s. In a recent tasting all wines showed wonderful sweet charming fruit and still alive. All are ready now and most minor chateaux should be drunk up. My personal favourites are Mouton, Pétrus, Palmer, Cos, Rauzan Ségla, Mission Haut Brion, Haut Brion, L'Enclos, Canon, Gruaud Larose, Latour and surprisingly Ausone.
