Auero Semi-Dulce Tarragona

These are rare wines produced in Aragon in northern Spain in a traditional manner. The black Garnacha Tinta grapes are harvested late in autumn to reach overmaturity, which brings a natural alcohol level of around 17%. The wines spend at least 12 years, but often much longer, in large oak casks before they are bottled. This makes the wines nearly indestructible and they resemble a mature Oloroso Sherry in style. These wines can be enjoyed glasswise over a longer period of time. I recommend that you store the opened bottle in a cool place for the freshness to remain longer, it also tastes better served cool.
