Description

It is not often that you can find wines with 40, 50, 60, 70 or even 80 years of age that are delicious to drink and also affordable.

These wines come from the very south of France near the border to Spain and are vinified like Ports by addition of alcohol during the fermentation in order to retain grape sugar. They are then aged in wood or glass for decades before being bottled. The style of wine is similar to a good Tawny Port.

They are rare and age beautifully. The opened bottle will remain drinkable over weeks. I personally prefer to drink these at cellar temperature - great with cheese. Please note that these are not Soleras but 100% from one vintage.
